About Thomas Übermeier

Thomas Übermeier has been active in the blockchain and IT industry for over 25 years – not as a theorist, but as someone who truly advances technologies and teams. As founder of Ingenire, he bridges two worlds for clients: deep technical expertise (from zero-knowledge blockchains to cloud architecture) and the ability to position companies to keep pace with the tech world long-term. His drive? Turning complex innovations into simple solutions that work in everyday practice – and supporting teams to unlock their full potential.

At Parity Technologies, Thomas led as Vice President the team that developed the Polkadot-SDK (Substrate) – a framework that today serves as the foundation for countless blockchain projects. Later, he helped build the Midnight blockchain from the ground up at Input Output Global (IOG). Both technologies shape global digital ecosystems today. "It's not about creating hype, but building infrastructure that truly delivers on its promises," he says. Today he shares this knowledge through training and coaching – whether as a mentor for aspiring tech leaders, as an architect of development strategies, or on stage at conferences. His approach is always direct: "If I teach something, I must have experienced it in action myself. Otherwise, it's a waste of time."
